TIM OSBON, MD, MS

A Sandlapper from Day One, Dr. Tim Osbon was born in Greer, South Carolina at the foot of the mountains in Greenville County, enjoying an idyllic childhood exploring the creeks, mountains, and forests that blanket our state. He attended Blue Ridge High School and then matriculated at Wofford College and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. Dr. Osbon received a US Army Commission in the Medical Service Corps and was stationed as an officer at the military medical school in Bethesda, Maryland. While on active duty, he enrolled in the graduate program at The Johns Hopkins University and received a Master's degree in biotechnology and genetics in 1998. He applied and was accepted at the Medical University of South Carolina and completed his MD in 2002. Tim completed his Emergency Medicine residency in 2005 at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia and then returned to the Low Country as an attending physician where he has been in active practice ever since.

Dr. Osbon also started Oasis Hyperbarics in 2007 and opened a hyperbaric oxygen facility in early 2008 that merged with East Cooper Medical Center two years later and developed the Comprehensive Wound Center, a thriving practice that provides world class wound care to the people of Mount Pleasant. In 2019 he began working with Dr. Richard Bowen at the Charleston Ketamine Center and, impressed with the therapeutic responses he witnessed, began the process of expanding the practice to the Upstate along with Dr. Erik Oberg, his best friend since the very first day of medical school. That dream is now realized with the highly successful Greenville Ketamine Center.

Tim feels immensely blessed to live in the Low Country and avidly enjoys the maritime traditions of sailing, fishing, and shrimping that characterize this wonderful part of the planet as well as the rich cultural and historical resources for which Charleston is known.
